The beauty with Airyolland Cottage is that you are away from it all - but within a few miles can sample the fine tea rooms, restaurants and pubs that are happy to give a warm, Scottish welcome to both locals and tourists.

Our local pub is The Cock Inn which sits just 10 minutes up the coast with stunning views, lovely friendly service plus great home cooked food and great value kids meals.  Their pies with your choice of topping are amazing!   Dog friendly too.

For a fantastic Sunday carvery after a long walk we love The Steam Packet Inn.  This harbour side restaurant in the Isle of Whithorn also has amazing seafood and range of Scottish beers and ciders.

The award winning Knockinaam Lodge in Portpatrick serves an unforgettable afternoon tea with breathtaking scenery.  To burn off the calories there is a stunning walk down to the beach with amazing sea views.

For fantastic local fish The Clansman in Port William is one of our favourites.  It is a cosy restaurant with fantastic haddock, sea bass and gorgeous whitebait.
